Bending Branch Winery was founded in 2009 by Dr. Robert W. Young, M.D., his wife Brenda, and daughter, Alison. The Youngs discovered the property that initially was settled in 1840 with a small settler’s cabin that is still on the property today.Bending Branch Winery marries Old World winemaking with modern science by employing cryomaceration and thermoflash fermentation methods.The estate sits on 56 acres of rustic Hill Country terrain. The winery is most known for its signature Tannat, a grape variety that exceeds expectations for Texas terroir. Charbono, Sagrantino and Souzão are our other grape obsessions.
