Tasting Notes This wine brings the jammy aromas and bright fruit to the party...and the Muscat from Sandy Bend Vineyard? Yeah, that was just a bit of razzle-dazzle I added to lift the aromatics and help add a bit of width to the mid-pallet, you know -That Eyren Muscat just hits different like that...The wine is crisp in acid and focused in flavor, red and blackberry flavors abound accented with sweet vanilla from 25% new French Oak.
Selling Point Chillable, crushable, light red wine - A Pinot drinkers Zin
Pairings served chilled, or not...
Sustainability Sustainable In Practice, Minimal Intervention / Augmentation

The Story

This translucent red is a blend of grapes from both hillside and valley floor vineyards. The hillside Barbera from the 1700ft elevation Dorn-Las Lomas vineyard and the Primitivo Clone Zin from 2000ft elevation High Rock Ranch brought the concentration, structure and acidity to the blend. The Zinfandel from the Patsekos Vineyard in the flats of the Ukiah Valley brings the jammy aromas and bright fruit to the party...and the Muscat from Sandy Bend Vineyard? Yeah, that was just a bit of razzle-dazzle I added to lift the aromatics and help add a bit of width to the mid-pallet, you know -That Eyren Muscat just hits different like that...The wine is crisp in acid and focused in flavor, red and blackberry flavors abound accented with sweet vanilla from 25% new French Oak. Drink it at cellar temp or chill it down on ice and enjoy it on a hot day - It's totally crushable either way. 274 cases produced
