The Story
A single varietal, single vineyard reserve Merlot from one of the best winemaking terroirs in Italy? When you add in a world-class winemaking team and a rigorous clonal selection process, there isn't much more to say (but we'll try). Production loads are intensely reduced in efforts to find exemplary grapes that can handle the lengthy skin macerations required for the wine to gain its structure. The vineyard's name, "Campo Camino" evokes the high chimney of the old-brick furnace located just outside its boundaries. Only a fiery passion can birth this wine.
