The Story

The Grenache Noir vineyard is called Gesamentlike Wei (communal pasture) and was planted in 2016. Fruit was hand harvested in February 2020. Bunches were destemmed and put in stainless steel tanks. Natural fermentation, with pressing at 5° balling (total time on skins 3 days). Uninoculated malolactic fermentation. Unoaked. The intention was seeking the fine tension and clarity of young vine-fruit, while exploring the specific imprint that organic viticulture has on fruit expression.
