The Character

Overall Silky, rich, bold
Aromas dark fruit, earth, spice, mocha
Mouthfeel velvety, bold, smooth
Tasting Notes The 2019 Malbec from La Sirena is a deep ruby color, with an enticing pure nose of dark fruit aromas (blueberry, blackberry, currant), accented with notes of spice, dark chocolate, and an earthy note reminiscent of bark. Across the palate it is velvety and extremely well balanced. Great acid in the mid palate keeps it bright and lifted while still being quite rich and dense. A sultry, inky wine that isn’t quite ‘brooding’ – pensive, perhaps? Medium tannin provides texture and body, and the lingering finish will leave you wanting more of this delicious and unique Malbec.
Selling Point 100% Malbec from Knights Valley, Sonoma

The Story

Malbec is not commonly grown in Napa/Sonoma, and what little is grown is usually used in blends. This is a rare varietal Malbec from the Knights Valley region of northern Sonoma county. Velvety, bold, plush and elegant, this special production of single-vineyard Malbec will appeal to fans of Napa Cabs and Bordeaux blends.
