The Story

My mother can be an intimidating person and there's a few blokes that still wish they'd never given her a hard time. That said, our one vineyard manager named Stomper seems to have found a way to sidestep her wrath with his seemingly carefree attitude. We call him Stomper because the whole building shakes when he walks in, and he leaves mud everywhere because he's too lazy to wipe his feet. And he keeps doing it!

About Nugan

Brand Story

Nugan Estate's story goes back to 1938 when Alfredo and Annelise Nugan fled their village of Alcira, Spain and immigrated to Australia. By 1940 the two owned a farm and had built a respected produce business, growing grapes among other fruits. Their son, Ken, took over the family business in 1965 before he unexpectedly passed in 1986, wherein his wife Michelle took over. She transitioned the company to winemaking, and it has only grown under Matt Nugan, the 3rd generation of a proud family.
