About Ramspeck

Brand Story

Gerald Rowland’s ancestors first put the Ramspeck family crest on their wine in 1537. Four and a half centuries later, Gerry continued his family legacy, developing a signature style of winemaking that combines the best of the old and new world styles.

Wine tells a story of when and where the fruit was grown. The winemaker’s challenge is to preserve that story to be retold and enjoyed every time a bottle is opened.

Great wine begins on the vine, our stewardship begins in the vineyard, where fruit aromas and flavors are a unique result of that season upon the land. We use both modern and centuries-old techniques to ensure that the fruit reflects the soil and microclimate.

This attention to detail is carried through every step of the winemaking process, from berries to bottle.
