We are beyond thrilled to announce the launch of Serendipity’s Restaurant Rally Sales Drive to help support and rebuild the restaurant community devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have teamed up with winery partners to provide a DOUBLE IMPACT approach to restaurant relief.

Firstly, we will be donating 5% of sales generated through the Sales Drive to local restaurant industry relief organizations in each of our major markets. These organizations are working hard to provide food, financial support, and other needed resources for restaurant workers who have been laid-off, furloughed, or otherwise economically impacted by the pandemic. We are so excited to work with Austin Shift Meal in Austin, Culinaria in San Antonio, Heard That Foundation in Dallas, and Southern Smoke in Houston to provide much needed aid to our restaurant brothers and sisters.

Secondly, we are assisting re-opening restaurants quickly build profits and regain economic viability with a curated list of wines available at deep discounts. Our generous winery partners helped us create a list of wines across styles, regions, varieties and price-points to help restaurants rebuild their wine programs and move towards economic health. Everyone wins when restaurants are healthy and vibrant!

We will be running the Restaurant Rally Sales Drive throughout the summer, so stay tuned for donation updates and new winery and restaurant partners joining in the fight.

More On Our Charitable Partners:

  • Austin Shift Meal: With so many workers in the Austin hospitality industry affected by closures and layoffs, Austin Shift Meal is dedicated to providing these individuals with meals so that no one goes hungry. Partnering with local chefs, restaurants, and other food and beverage companies, ASM provides free weekly “goodie bags” filled with meals, snacks, wine, beer, etc to sustain the bodies (and souls) of affected hospitality workers.

  • Heard That Foundation: Heard That’s mission is to be an ally for the hospitality community – helping individuals seek out resources, navigate the healthcare system and receive financial support during a health crisis. Gratitude, compassion and inclusion are their guiding principles. They are currently focused on a “double impact” model to provide support to local farmers as well as the hospitality community. They are 100% volunteer-powered and 100% of donations fund the mission.

  • Southern Smoke: Since its founding in 2017, Southern Smoke has distributed more than $2.4 million to individuals in the food and beverage industry who are in crisis. With the onset of the COVID-19 crisis, they have provided resources and tools for industry people helping to navigate the uncertainties of unemployment, potential evictions, finding food, maintaining mental and physical health, as well as distributing over $1.5 million to 900 individuals.

  • Culinaria: For the past 19 years, Culinaria has been supporting locally sourced food and wine experiences in the San Antonio region as well as providing students with the means to attain the education necessary to pursue a career in the hospitality and culinary industries.  During this time, they are providing free meals for hospitality workers in need.
