NEW This October at Serendipity

October marks a time for transformation: grapes are finally turning into wine, the heat has finally given way to cooler weather, and the days are turning in a little earlier than we’re all used to. It’s the perfect time to sink into a glass of red wine and wait for those 2021 harvest reports to start rolling in! This month we’re revisiting compelling California brands while welcoming new faces to the fold.

What’s Inside: ✨ New: Titus & RedThumb | October Bubbles Feature: Scharffenberger | Meet the Team | Spooky Wines | Press & Harvest Updates

Welcome, Titus!

This 100+ year old vineyard site has been owned and operated by the Titus Family since 1969, now in the hands of the second generation – vineyard manager Eric Titus & winemaking director Philip Titus. Unique vineyard locations on the banks of the Napa River provide sandy well drained soils at the Winery Estate Vineyard and austere rocky, volcanic soils at the Ehlers Lane Estate Vineyard. Winegrowing and winemaking is controlled from the ground to glass – by hand. Titus wines are hand grown, handpicked, and hand made. Cheers to Titus!

New in Texas: RedThumb

RedThumb Natural Wines is a pioneering project helmed by best friends Dave Schavone and Diego Vasquez. The two met in New Orleans and came up through the wine industry. After many years, their combined experience led them to creating RedThumb: a solution to finding quality, affordable natural wines that are consistently available. Dave and Diego work with a winemaker in Navarra to produce their flagship bottles: a Tempranillo, Grenache rosé, and Chardonnay. Welcome, RedThumb!

October Bubbles Feature: Scharffenberger

The history of Scharffenberger Cellars began in 1981 in the heart of Mendocino County. Situated only miles from the coastal influences of the Pacific Ocean, Scharffenberger also enjoys the deep soils and sunshine within the protected valley. Originally founded by John Scharffenberger, today winemaker Jeffrey Jindra continues to craft without compromise delicious sparkling wines that showcase the unparalleled uniqueness of Mendocino County terroir.

The Serendipity Team is Growing…

Ian Wolf is another wine luminary who brings years of global wine travel and experience to the Fort Worth sales team. What is Ian sipping on nowadays? In between hiking, exploring the DFWculinary scene & attending standup, he’s definitely drinking the 2019 Fratelli Brovia Roero Arneis.
