Solar Fortun

This award-winning family winery project was started by José Alberto López in 2007, when he planted his first vines in the Guadalupe glen in the village of Francisco Zarco. The first grapes would be harvested in 2010. In 2012, he joined his son Santiago López, who became winemaker.The basis of the project is to seek the highest quality in each stage of wine production, starting with the quality of the grapes. 100% of the Solar Fortun vines come from the French nursery Mercier, located in the Napa Valley, in the heart of the California wine area. The plants' patterns, strains and clones were specially selected for their microclimate, that is, taking into account the characteristics of the subsoil and the climate of the glen.
