Barricas
In 1940, Don Silvestre Hinojosa bought the Dumit Family Winery, today Bodega Hinojosa is one of the longest run family vineyards in the Uco Valley.
It started with a phrase from the villagers that is passed down generation to generation: "And they said that a madman thought of planting in that rocky field." It was Don Silvestre, wise in his visions, that knew the great potential of that rocky field. Equipped with his wine-making experience and an intimate knowledge of the land, the alchemy manifested itself in color, aroma and flavor, secrets that marked the beginning of a family career now in it's 3rd generation.
Philosophy
Respecting the land and harnessing the treasure it holds, Hinojosa shares the same goal of producing excellent wines today as they did back when Don Silvestre first planted the first vines, inspired by the purest and most noble elements of nature.
