Bodegas Luzon
Bodegas Luzón is one of the leading producers and exporters of quality wines from Jumilla (Murcia). This winegrowing region is located in south-eastern Spain, in the north of the Murcia province, on a high plateau surrounded by mountains. It enjoys a continental climate influenced by the Mediterranean Sea with warm days and cool nights.
Biography
In 1841 Don José de Molina, commander of the Royal Armies stationed in the Spanish colony of Manila (Philippines), decides to return to his land Jumilla. It is then when he names his lands as “Finca Luzón”, in honor of the island where he was so long. We are in one of the oldest wineries in the Jumilla area and that, in addition, from its origins and for much of its history, was directed by women.
