Col di Lamo is identified with the profile of a woman. Femininity is at the center of the products that the earth generates. She chose orange as the company color, which represents the color of the stripes in the sky at dusk and sunset. The winery has a total of 9.5 hectares of which 6 are for Brunello, 1.5 for Rosso di Montalcino, while the remainder is destined for Typical Geographical Indication wines. Their first wine, Lamo, appeared on the market in 2003. Giovanna says of her wines that they are like her own children. She takes care of the whole process, from the vineyard to the cellar, from the choice of the bottle to the label. In 2017, Giovanna Neri was able to put the new winery building into operation, before she could build the winery she started with two huts near the vineyard and was making wine in a garage. In the entrance wall there is a plaque with an inscription taken from the Little Prince "make your life a dream and a dream a reality". With a lot of work, determination and passion she managed to make her dream come true! She has now shares her farming and wine making skills with her daughter, Diletta, continuing the dream into the future.

Biography

Giovanna Neri has been a wine producer since 1997. In 1971 her father bought a farm in Montalcino and after a few years he persuaded his family to move to the countryside. Gianna later attended the University of Siena, where she completed her law studies and then worked as a lawyer. When her father suddenly died in 1991, the family had no alternative: they had to keep the winery going! In 1994, together with her brother, she decided to divide the lands and found her own winery: Col di Lamo.
