Dom Parent
Domaine Parent is run by sisters Anne Parent & Catherine Fages-Parent, representing the 12th generation & perpetuating a family tradition dating back to the 17th century. In 1787, Etienne Parent used his connections with Thomas Jefferson to become a forerunner of Burgundy wine exports across the Atlantic. In 1803, Claude Parent left Volnay, the family cradle, settled in Pommard & built Domaine Parent. In 1947, Jacques Parent began working with his father. Taking over the Domaine in 1953 he triggered an innovative impetus. Domaine Parent was one of the first estates of Côte d’Or to sell all its production in bottles, in France & overseas. Jacques Parent’s will to work & ensure the continued existence of this family property allowed him to pass the estate to his daughters in 1998.
