The Mantengoli Family: 4th generation farmers original Montalcino family operation, equal to 120 years of loyalty to Sangiovese. On the north east of the Montalcino hill at a height of 350 meters above sea level. In front of the farm is the Park of Val d ‘Orcia, famous to be UNESCO World Heritage.The age of the vineyards ranges between 2 to 30 years, cultivated with low cordon-pruning and a plant density between 3500 to 5000 vines.
Current owner Marco Mantengoli started at the helm of the family farm at only 19 years old, now already 25 vintages under his belt! He started out with a farm of only 3.5 ha planted to vine; he was able growing it to now 14 ha! Rather than building a fancy winery/castle he believes in the power of the land! Organic operating since 2010, but the vine planting the the certification process delayed till 2017.

Philosophy
Described as young by spirit, rooted by ancestral wisdom, organic by agriculture, aiming for purity over power and modesty above all. A traditional farm always innovating & evolving in respect to the environment.
