Miner Family
Miner Family Winery is a dynamic family-owned winery tucked into the eastern hills of Oakville within the heart of Napa Valley. Founded in 1996 by Dave & Emily Miner, Miner is defined by a sensational portfolio of wines characterized by and committed to individualistic style and quality.
Each wine at Miner is crafted in a style to encapsulate the distinctive elements of their respective vineyards. Miner has sought and secured several of California’s finest vineyard sites, but only those allowing complete farming control. It is this level of detail and control that ensures Miner wine’s consistency and quality.
The winery in Oakville is a destination that’s welcoming and unpretentious. With breathtaking vineyard views, a state-of-the-art tasting room, and warm hospitality, Miner’s wine tasting experiences offer an immersive experience that bring visitors closer to the heart of Napa Valley winemaking. In addition, Miner’s vision to preserve the land and become powered by solar energy was realized in 2008 when Dave Miner flipped the switch inaugurating Miner’s photovoltaic system. The Miner solar panel array is one of the largest projects to date installed in the Napa Valley that balances environmental respect and the aesthetics of the natural landscape. Miner runs exclusively on solar power.
Miner is also deeply committed to philanthropy. In 2016, Miner launched Emily’s Cabernet Sauvignon; an eponymous wine made in remembrance of Emily Miner, co-founder of Miner Family Winery who lost her battle with lung cancer in 2011. As a tribute to Emily and to continue the fight against cancer, a portion of the proceeds of Emily’s Cabernet Sauvignon go to our long-time partner, the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
