Monastero Suore Cistercensi
Cistercian nuns have been organically farming their five hectares of vines in Vitorchiano, Lazio, since the early nineties. Here at this quiet religious outpost eighty women of this religious order work vineyards and orchards and gardens with little to no technology. They collaborate with Giampiero Bea (son of Paolo Bea and one of the most influential viticultural voices in the area) to commercialize their characterful, honest expressions of Vitorchiano.
