Welcome, Jean Biecher + Maison Robert Olivier!
Now Available in California
The Biecher family has been making wine in the heart of Alsace since 1762, generation after generation. Jean Biecher et Fils, today run by Olivier Biecher, is the largest producer of organic wines in the region. Their wines are known to be very classic and original in style and reflect the unique area. Maison Robert Olivier was created by Jean Biecher as an homage to his father Robert. Maison Robert Olivier is a cooperation between organic wine growers and small scale producers within and outside the Alsace area.
The Biecher family believes in responsible winemaking from vineyard to cellar. Each organic vineyard has never had any chemical or synthetic fertilizers added, while pests are controlled through natural means. Maison Robert Olivier is a so-called ”Vin Nature” – Natural Wine. The basic idea is to alter the wine as little as possible, therefore the grapes are 100% organic (and certified Biodynamic), and no or very limited sulfites have been added.
Organic Alsatian wines of Classic & Original style
- Jean Biecher et Fils: The Biecher cellar lies in the picturesque village Saint-Hippolyte, in the foothills of the Vosges Mountains, beneath the spectacular Haut-Koenigsbourg castle. The grapes used for the wines (imported by ViniMundi Wines) are 100% organically grown. The area is characterized by a sunny climate and hilly mixed terrain, which results in ideal conditions for the vines. Serendipity currently offers the Marie d’Alsace, Pinot Gris, and Riesling.
- Maison Robert Olivier: Low-intervention, organically grown, and certified Biodynamic offerings from the Biecher family. A cooperation between organic wine growers and small scale producers within and outside the Alsace area. Serendipity currently offers the Cuvee Tradition and Edelzwicker Blanc.
