The Story

A single varietal, single vineyard reserve Merlot from one of the best winemaking terroirs in Italy? When you add in a world-class winemaking team and a rigorous clonal selection process, there isn't much more to say (but we'll try). Production loads are intensely reduced in efforts to find exemplary grapes that can handle the lengthy skin macerations required for the wine to gain its structure. The vineyard's name, "Campo Camino" evokes the high chimney of the old-brick furnace located just outside its boundaries. Only a fiery passion can birth this wine.

About Bosco del Merlo

Brand Story

""Bosco del Merlo"" refers to the oak forests that once covered the area, so named by local topographers. The brand was founded in 1977 by siblings Carlo, Lucia, and Roberta Paladin with the mission of modernity and environmental conservation. In collaboration with the Instituto Sperimentale per la Viticoltura di Conegliano, they implemented a modern zoning technique to work the vineyard piece by piece.
