The Story

Whatever else you might expect from the very sunny, often quite hot, plains of La Mancha, crisp, clean, mouthwatering white wine with juicy fruit and a zesty finish isn’t it. And you’d be especially surprised to find that wine made from Verdejo, famed for its starring role in Rueda, much further north. But somehow this cooperative of 60-some winegrowers working within view of Don Quixote’s windmills pull off the feat here and at a remarkably great price, too.
