The Story

The origins of the grapes used to produce this cuvée bring a consistency to the
wine which gives it greater aging potential than one would expect from the
Burgundy appellation. It is a wine which surprises by its length and its behavior.
This wine is a blend of appellations located in the commune of Nuits-SaintGeorges and Chambolle-Musigny. A plot of the estate extends over one hectare
with vines planted between 1978 and 1986 while the two-hectare plots located in
Chambolle-Musigny were planted between 1954 and 1962.

About Domaine Thibault Liger Belair

Producer Story

Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair represents the continuation of a 250-year-old winemaking tradition passed down through the Liger-Belair family. After studying viticulture and oenology and gaining international wine experience, Thibault Liger-Belair took over the family vines in 2001 at age 26, founding his namesake domaine in Burgundy. What began with premier and village-level Pinot Noir has since grown to include Grand Cru holdings and an expansion into Beaujolais, where the domaine now produces a Beaujolais-Villages and several site-specific Moulin-à-Vent wines—all crafted with precision, heritage, and a clear sense of place.
