- Working with heritage Micro-Grower families on 7–14 acre estates
- Lot-specific vinification to preserve character of each site
Vineyards:
- Two remote, cool climate coastal vineyards within 20km from the ocean benefitting from Humboldt breezes and clockwork fogs.
- Pinot Noir vineyard is in Casablanca Valley based on soils rich in iron, granite, and quartz that create fresh, aromatic wines of distinction.
- Tempranillo vineyard is in Colchagua with a slightly warmer Mediterranean climate, 600ft elevation, and mosaic of granite, schist, and volcanic clay, creating light, spicy wines.
- Deep-rooted, low-yielding vines using minimal irrigation and vert vendage for concentrated fruit.

Created by reformed “wine-snob” originally from Champagne, France, founder Brice Baillie noticed a gap between an overall growing interest and love for Boutique, Vegan & Eco-friendly wines, yet high level of intimidation towards selecting and discussing them.

In 2018, he decided to create an accessible and playful brand that still checked all the necessary boxes of high-quality, eco-conscious wine. So, he got to work cold-calling wineries in California to identify those who were open to partnerships and met his criteria. Eventually, he got a bite, and Obvious Wines was born.
