The Character
Tasting Notes The 2023 Sancerre Rosé from the brothers Matthias and Émile Roblin is a lovely wine. It is quite pale salmon in color and offers up a bright and juicy bouquet of watermelon, white cherries, chalky soil tones, rose petals and a touch of grassiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is vibrant, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a lovely core, excellent soil undertow, zesty acids and fine balance on the long and bouncy finish. Good juice.

The Story
This comes from two parcels of qualitatively very good clones of Pinot Noir planted between 1999-2014. The wine is tank-fermented to preserve its brisk northern character; it's a rosé with excellent fruit in a long, lean profile.
