Guaname

GUANAMÉ, is a blending of the words, Guanajuato, and Mexico, as a remembrance of the roots of more than 40 years in this land. Guanamé was born in the Pájaro Azul Vineyards, located in the Jaral de Berrios Valley, San Felipe, north of Guanajuato: a land full of life and a witness of great history, home to Huachichiles (native people of the region) in ancient times and grazing land during the colony, dwelling of the Marquis of Berrio, richest man in the world at the time, and the insurrectionist Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla.

Guanamé is a family winery founded in 2011. The third and fourth generation of farmers and ranchers of Pájaro Azul, great wine lovers, saw that the characteristics of the land and the microclimate of the area, were suitable for the cultivation of the vine, at 1800m high, were planted the first vines, Syrah. Subsequently, in 2012, 2013 & 2014 they added Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo & Muscatel varieties.

The vineyards feed its fertile lands and composts prepared on the same ranch with the waste of wine and agricultural production. This results in an artisanal wine of very high-quality thanks to the fact that all the details are taken care of to the maximum: planting, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, harvesting, aging, and bottling.

One notable object is their labels, all inspired by the cubist movement in Picasso's paintings.

Its objective is to produce high-quality wines for its customers, taking care of the details in the vineyard: from planting, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, harvesting, and aging to bottling.
