The Story

Chateau Prieuré de Blaignan (“pree-o-re de blen-yon”) is a 23-hectare vineyard in the
Médoc region of Bordeaux. Dating back to the 14th century, this estate was also the
summer residence of the Count of Toulouse, Louis-Alexandre de Bourbon, who was the
son of King Louis XIV. The vines are planted on two limestone and clay hillocks and
have an average age of 30 years. Modern vinification to obtain maximum fruit and
concentration. Aged 15 months prior to bottling. The wine is made by the star female
winemaker Anne Le Naour, with the consultant Hubert de Bouard (of Chateau Angelus).
