The Story

Alessandro dal Borro is not only a pillar, but crucial to the story of the castle, the winery, and Il Borro as a whole. A couple centuries into the Borro lineage, Alessandro quickly grew in eminence to become one of the most renowned battle strategists of his time. He aided the King of Spain, led his people against the Turks, and fought for the Grand Duke of Tuscany, who gave him the castle that now resides over the winery. In his honor, Ferrucio Ferragamo and Stefano Chioccioli, head winemaker, chose Syrah to represent him. Complex, stunning, and nobile. Only in Magnums.
