Following in his grandfather and uncle’s footsteps, Zach Landry is not just a quarter horse racing fan but a bourbon connoisseur as well. He has long gifted friends with limited-edition bottles but grew frustrated with having to settle for thoroughbred bourbons so he used his entrepreneurial spirit to fill the hole on the shelf. A longtime Austinite and serial entrepreneur, Zach set out to create a spirit good enough to drink himself and extraordinary enough to give to friends. He spent the past year traveling through the deep south searching for family owned craft distilleries that could help him create special small batch Landry whiskeys. Gary Crowell, the visionary behind Deep Eddy Vodka and co-founder of Nine Banded Whiskey, was brought in for industry expertise and as a partner.
