Winemaking Our Sauvignon Blanc is Musque clone. We do whole cluster press to one bar and 1/3 of malic fermentation. Harvested on October 11th, 2023, aged 6 months in 80% stainless steel and 20% neutral barrels. And bottled on February 1st, 2024.

Tasting Notes A flattering wine displaying intense floral aromas as well as tropical fruit, pineapple, peach, and mango. Juicy on the palate with flavors of green apples, stone fruit, grapefruit, and a core of lime. The lengthy finish is crisp with a citrus peel touch.

The Story
Sauvignon Blanc joined the Hyde portfolio in 2018. This wine is reminiscent of vacation in a glass with its vibrant nose of peach & pineapple followed by great acidity and minerality on the palate.
The 2023 vintage brought more rainfall than the previous year giving the vines an advantage for the coming growing season. The higher levels of precipitation along with cold weather during the winter resulted in a delay in bud break. Spring brought plentiful showers and cold temperatures, contributing to a slow, but healthy vine development. The abundant sunshine and mild warm temperatures that summer brought Los Carneros induced a long and steady maturation stage thus optimizing the quality of grapes. These growing conditions fostered wines with aromatic intensity, extraction, and incredible balance.

Founded by Larry Hyde in 1979, Hyde Vineyards is located in the heart of Napa Valley's Carneros region. The vineyard has long been hailed as a grand cru caliber site, primarily known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit, which has been used by some highly acclaimed wine producers in both Napa and Sonoma counties.
