The Character

Overall Refreshing and well balanced.
Aromas Passionfruit, guava, minerality, gunflint.
Mouthfeel Excellent texture and creaminess.
Tasting Notes This wine is terrifyingly good. Made in a pure Chablis style. Concentration is developed around autolysis from the lees of the fermentation. The lees release amino acids and lipids that increase the texture and creaminess. The color is light straw. The pallet is electric with areas of passionfruit, guava and sub-tropical fruits. Fruit centric with lots of mineral and gunflint. The finish is supple and evaporates with lightness on the tongue.
Selling Point Excellent Chablis style Chardonnay from old vines.
Pairings Pair with fish, pork and cream light sauces.
Sustainability Vegan

The Story

The soil in the Russian River vineyards of Turning Point is dominated by Goldridge - a fine-grained sandy loam, known for its excellent drainage. These sediments cover an ancient seabed. Hence, finding fossiles there is not unusual. In terms of climate, the region experiences warm, dry summers along with cool, moist winters - great California coastal climate.
