The Story
Back in 2007, when we first set about planting the vines that would herald the return of the Scribe farm, we knew we wanted to grow Chardonnay in the volcanic soils and cool climate of this place. We embrace its transparent nature through long cold fermentations in stainless steel and concrete, and arrest malolactic conversion to retain the inherent freshness and vibrancy. The wine ages on its heavy lees until bottling to capture natural texture and depth. The result is a vibrant, floral wine full of stone fruit characters and bright minerality; a pure and lively expression of Sonoma.
