The Character

Tasting Notes This blend, with little wood, lets the fruity aromas express themselves. Aromas as varied as prune, candied orange zest, quince… A raw Armagnac, lively but smooth and enveloping. You can also enjoy this eau-de-vie as an aperitif, with or without ice.

The Story

Darroze Grands Assemblages 8 years old: Marc Darroze has created this new range, using his huge family stocks of hand selected Bas Armagnacs, with vintages dating back over 100 years.

About Darroze

Producer Story

With a deep love for his native Southwest and its secular tradition, Jean Darroze, iconic cook of Landes gastronomy, introduced his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines and the fine eaux-de-vie of Gascony.
From the end of the 60s, Francis Darroze intensifies his visits to the lands of Bas Armagnac and selects, matures and bottles his most treasured discoveries. Maison Armagnac Darroze is born and the adventure starts.
Today, around 30 domains are contributing to this extraordinary collection, perfecting its aging in cellars in both Roquefort and Labastide d’Armagnac. Guided by his visionary instinct, Francis Darroze realized that Armagnac can be worked just like wine: with a unique domain, no blending and in small and perfectly traceable batches. His son Marc is now at the helm.
