The Character

Tasting Notes Coming from Mendocino, an area slightly less impacted by the heat, the bright yellow/straw-colored Chardonnay is lifted with a perfume of citrus blossoms, fresh herbs, green apple, and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, it’s elegant, clean, and balanced, and it has a good finish. It should drink well over the next 5-7 years. -- Audrey Frick
Awards 2022 - 93pts Jeb Dunnuck

The Story

Our Anderson Valley Chardonnay is a blend from sites that represent distinct terroir within the valley. The result is a fresh, vibrant and bright Chardonnay from the other end of the wine spectrum that compliments our opulent Olivet Lane bottling.

About Merry Edwards

Producer Story

As one of California’s first women winemakers, Merry began her career at Mount Eden Vineyards in 1974. At home in the Russian River Valley since 1977, Merry Edwards has explored its hills, pockets, slopes & hollows, discovering small sites where choosing the right rootstock, clone & farming techniques can produce exceptional grapes. This led her in 1996 to purchase land in the Sebastopol Hills. In 2019, Maison Louis Roederer acquired the Merry Edwards Winery. Frédéric Rouzaud, owner & President, is focused on ensuring continuity & adhering to the core values by which both wineries are connected: producing wines emblematic of their terroirs, all the while pushing the boundaries of land stewardship.
