Winemaking After gentle extraction, the wine is aged for 12-18 months in barrels on lees. We use delicate cap management techniques. There is no crushing, rather a series of pump overs help to coax the result desired. Either whole berries or whole clusters are in the fermenter. All of this helps to let the ‘place’ speak for itself.

Aromas Bright tart cherries, white raspberries, baking spices, perfectly ripe strawberries, long and pure
Mouthfeel Fresh, juicy, delicate, velvety structure
Tasting Notes A beautiful clear red color almost opaque. Crunchy red fruits. The sweetness of a perfectly ripe strawberry as well as the tang of a sour cherry. With well defined clear cut ripe sweet red fruit with acidity expected from a firm and ripe strawberry. Baking spices follow the fruit. Fresh acidity, which is crucial how a wine will age. Higher acidity the less oxidation of a wine. Velvety structure comes from the light hand in winemaking.

The Story
Two Organically farmed vineyards in Yamhill Carlton AVA. Wines from Angela vineyards are always more delicate and more truthful of the vineyard story. A delicate hand is critical to allow the grapes to express texture, tannins, and classic Pinot Noir fruit from the vineyard. No actions are taken to bully the extraction of color or flavor. Gentle pump overs and foot treading. Allowing the grapes to give the wine what they want to give as far as elements of texture, tannins, structure and fruit.
