The Story
The story of De Fermo Don Carlino Pecorino is intertwined with the history of the De Fermo estate. Stefano and Eloisa, initially from Bologna, became passionate about wine and discovered the estate in Abruzzo in 2007. They were drawn to the ancient property and its potential, eventually taking over the estate in 2009. They embraced biodynamic farming and a minimal intervention approach in the cellar, aiming to let the unique characteristics of the land and the Pecorino grape shine through in the wine. The name "Don Carlino" pays tribute to Eloisa's great-uncle, who planted the original vines.
