Winemaking The 2022 growing season started out with a normal bud break, and survived most of the season with no extreme waves of hot or cold weather. That was until Labor Day weekend, which brought temperatures exceeding 108 degrees Fahrenheit. Luckily, our large canopies and sprinklers saved our grapes from raisining or loss of color. The heat wave did accelerate ripening, which led to an earlier-than-usual harvest the 3rd week of September. Our inaugural release of our 2022 Alexander Valley Cabernet Franc is a triumph of skillful blending and care in the vineyard
Aging 47% new American oak, 53% Neutral oak

Terreno our vast experience along with time honored traditions and a healthy
respect for the land help us cultivate grapes that are of the utmost quality and
flavor. In 1980, after an extensive search, Founder and Winemaker Mark Lyon
found a 122-acre (92 acres planted to vines) vineyard in Alexander Valley near
Cloverdale. Today the Lyon and Cisne Vineyards, both 100% Organic and
