Winemaking We whole-cluster pressed the grapes and fermented half of the juice cold in a stainless steel tank, stopping malolactic as it went dry. The other half bubbled its way through fermentation in neutral French oak barrels at ambient cellar temperature and was allowed to go fully though malolactic. The two halves were blended together and bottled in February 2024. Enjoy!

Overall Bright & Tropical
Aromas Orange blossom, citrus, citrus blossom and mild tropical aromas
Mouthfeel Punctuated by zippy green apple and tropical fruit
Tasting Notes Citrus and floral notes on the nose. Bright acid mouthfeel on the front palate; Meyer lemon, Buddha's Hand, white flowers. Subtle barrel influence on the back palate with more stone fruit and slight tropical notes. Finish for days!

The Story
The Family Secret is an example of what an outside-the-box Sauvingon Blanc can be. These 50-year-old vines planted in the Eco Terreno Vineyard in Alexander Valley are exceptional. With a combination of neutral oak and stainless steel fermentation and aging, this wine has all of the great aspects of both old and new world Sauvignon Blanc.
