The Character
Tasting Notes While showing a nice crunchy mineral underpinning with intense flint that makes this unmistakably 'Meursault' — this Chardonnay is also seductive and opulent. Its ripeness and palate weight is noteworthy. The nose is explosive and rich, with notes of ripe yellow apple, pear, grilled pineapple, fresh cream, and well-integrated oak notes. The palate is textural and expansive, a mouth-coating Chardonnay that nevertheless finishes clean.

The Story
Bitouzet works a 0.71-hectare parcel of vines in the lieu-dit Les Herbeaux in northern Meursault, adjacent to premier cru Les Malpoiriers, and planted in the early 1950s (with a portion replanted in 2010).
