The Character

Tasting Notes The wine opens with a captivating aroma of blueberry, plum, and a hint of peppercorn, complemented by delicate floral notes, possibly violets, and a subtle touch by bay leaf. On the palate, it is plush with a medium-plus body, featuring bright red currants and vibrant acidity that lift the flavors. The velvet tannins create a smooth, refined mouthfeel, while concentrated plum fruit adds depth and richness. Its deep crimson color hints at the intensity and complexity of this beautiful structured wine.

The Story

The 2022 growing season saw an early bud break, spring showers, and an early harvest due to a heat storm in late summer. Despite the challenges, the vineyard produced fruit with a balance of ripe flavors and concentrated character, promising a vintage with depth and freshness.
