Tasting Notes This wine is unmistakably Cabernet Franc with aromas & flavors that are fruity and savory at the same time. We were able to pick this variety at optimum ripeness, towards the end of the vintage to reveal tart cherry and huckleberry mixed with toasty oak and pencil shavings. The silky tannins and long finish make this serious wine fun to drink.

The Story
Of all the Bordeaux varieties that we grow, this is perhaps the best suited to our cooler coastal climate. Our uplifted mesa, cool breezes and gravelly/sandy well drained soils allow us to pick at the riper end of the Cabernet Franc spectrum while also still being able to preserve fresh, natural, balanced acidity. At the ripe end of the spectrum, we achieve blueberry and black fruits in addition to spicy, peppery, roasted notes of the variety.
