The Story
The best story is the label and how it came to be. The new labels started with the last vintage. The previous labels were very tired and out of date. Luigi hired a graphic designer to help him with ideas, the problem was Luigi is a very difficult man to get a hold of. All Luigi cares about are his plants, hence he is always in the vineyards. Cell service in the vineyards is non-existent. For months the graphic designer was trying to get a hold of Luigi, but he never picked up. Finally, one rainy day, Luigi was in the cellar working and the graphic designer called a got a hold of him! He asked Luigi, "Where have you been? I have been trying to talk to you about ideas for your new label!" Luigi's response, "Today it is raining, call me when it rains!" Thus you have the umbrella with the rain on the label. If you look in the middle of the rain written vertically is the phrase, "Chiamami quando piove," or "Call me when it rains."
