One of the four Contrada (Grand Cru Vineyards) of Gulfi. The NeroBufaleffj vineyard has sandy soil that also has some limestone and black clay. A mixture of the other three vineyards' soils. These vineyards are down the hill from the town of Avola, and it is here where Nero d'Avola originated.
