The Story
One of the four Contrada (Grand Cru Vineyards) of Gulfi. The soil in the NeroMaccarj vineyard is limestone clay which is dense and holds onto moisture in an area that doesn't have much rain. These vineyards are down the hill from the town of Avola, and it is here where Nero d'Avola originated.
