Tasting Notes A deep ruby red, richer when compared to wines from our other vineyards. In the nose it expresses itself as a symphony of aromas going from the intense smell of red orange and violet to the fresh balsamic note of herbs. This vineyard is characterized by a more creamy and silky taste coupled with a fun and vibrant saltiness.

The Story

The 'Amore e Magia' or 'Love and Magic' vineyard was one of the first vineyards planted at the estate. Originally the vineyard was not certified to be a Brunello vineyard, so for years only Rosso di Montalcino was made here. For the 2015 harvest, the vineyard was officially allowed to make Brunello wine and in it's first year received 100 points from Falstaff magazine.

Producer Story

The estate has been called Podere Le Ripi since the year 1200 when the area was inhabited by shepherds and farmers. In 1997, I bought these 54 hectares
of pure, unspoilt and wild land from a Sardinian shepherd and three years later began planting the first vines. In fact, I had just wanted to buy a lovely house in
Tuscany but I fell in love so deeply with this untouched landscape that I became a wine-grower.
