Tasting Notes A deep ruby red with elegant orange shadows. In the nose, it expresses itself as a symphony of aromas going from the intense smell of cherry, strawberry, and violet to the fresh balsamic note of herbs. An impressive, broad structure that reveals a great minerality and a long lasting aftertaste.

The Story
One of the new vineyards added to the winery in 2012, located on the Western side of Montalcino whereas the original vineyards are in the Southeastern part of Montalcino. This vineyard only makes the Rosso di Montalcino. This vineyard is called Sogni e Follia or "Dreams and madness".

The estate has been called Podere Le Ripi since the year 1200 when the area was inhabited by shepherds and farmers. In 1997, I bought these 54 hectares
of pure, unspoilt and wild land from a Sardinian shepherd and three years later began planting the first vines. In fact, I had just wanted to buy a lovely house in
Tuscany but I fell in love so deeply with this untouched landscape that I became a wine-grower.
