The Character

Tasting Notes Ripe red plum and red berry fruit burst from the glass. On the palate, ripe tannins and a balanced finish make for a fuller bodied wine with more intense red primary fruit aromas due to the higher percentage of Merlot.

The Story

When it comes to “classic” wines, it doesn’t get much more classic than Bordeaux, France. Bordeaux’s roots in wine go back thousands of years. The meticulously tended vineyards of Bordeaux border the Gironde Estuary, which empties into the sea along France’s Atlantic coast. There, the five red Bordeaux grapes are grown: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The percentage of each variety in a given Bordeaux blend is dependent on the vintage. Cooler vintages tend to have a greater percentage of Merlot since it is easier to ripen than the Cab.

About 90+ Cellars

Brand Story

Kevin Mehra launched 90+ Cellars. His concept was simple: allow great wineries to sell more wine through a new brand. By offering to not disclose the source, Kevin found that many wineries were happy to offer him their top wines at lower costs in order to sell more. And in doing so, 90+ Cellars was able to bring these world class wines to more people at better prices.
