Tasting Notes Fresh red fruit, spice and a hint of chocolate with soft tannins and moderate alcohol make this wine work with lots of food. Approachable Tempranillo ready to drink now, that will develop more complexity and elegance with aging.

The Story
We work very closely with our grower partner, Klein Vineyard Ranch, to produce quality, single-vineyard wines. This wine is sourced from Tempranillo vines planted in 2015 in extremely shallow, rocky limestone soil. The rocky site helps restrain the natural vigor of Tempranillo, creating small berries with good concentration. The limestone imparts minerality in the wine that creates an element of freshness and acidity, making these wines pair well with food.
2019 was a typical El Niño vintage, with moderate temperatures and plenty of rainfall through the growing season. This results in a productive vintage, with softer tannins, lower alcohol and good balance of freshness to fruit.
